Dear Editor: Among the front page stories in today's Colorado Springs Gazette newspaper was coverage of the graduating class of 2006 from the U.S. Air Force Academy. Cassville's own Jeremy Gracy was among the 879 enthused and excited graduates tossing their parade hats toward the overflying Thunderbirds at Falcon Stadium on May 30.
Congratulations to Jeremy for this accomplishment! He is one of three CHS graduates to have successfully navigated this unique undergraduate challenge. Jeremy and his classmates survived Air Force cadet life during some trying times for the Academy; his last four years have not been a picnic. But, he now joins the ranks of the best Air Force in the history of the planet, and we are proud of him and our Air Force.
Please join me and fellow Cassville USAFA grad Mark Irsik in congratulating Jeremy on this accomplishment, and wish him well in his future Air Force career, if you see him around the Cassville town square during his upcoming vacation.
Hip Hip Hooray! (And, keep your nose out of the blue, lieutenant!)
