Amos Harold England, 83, passed away April 18, 2006, in Simi Valley, Calif.

He was born Sept. 28, 1923, at Mineral Springs, the son of George and Minerva (Brock) England.

On June 1957, he was united in marriage to Barbara Rachel Bird. She survives.

Additional survivors include: one daughter, Terrie England and one son, Jason England, both living in California; one sister, Lili Phillips, of Tehachapi, Calif.; and four brothers, Joe England and Jack England, of Shell Knob, Edward England, of Carthage and and Charles England, of Cassville.

He graduated from Cassville High School and had lived in Simi Valley since 1961.

He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II, and in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He also served in the Missouri National Guard.

He retired from Southern California Edison in 1985 after 30 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Hildreth Settlemire and Susie Timmons; and two brothers, George England and Deering (Briar) England.

Memorial services were held April 29 at the Reardon Funeral Home in Simi Valley, Calif.
