Onnie L. Tucker, 72, of Oak Grove, passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2006, at K.U. Medical Center after a brief battle with a malignant brain tumor.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, at the Oak Grove Restoration Branch Church with at burial in Floral Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove.
He was born on Jan. 1, 1934, in Wheaton, the son of James "Fat" Arthur and Cleva Pearl (Harper) Tucker. He served in the Navy during the Korean War. He married Myrna Lee Allen on June 16, 1962. He was a Machinist at Fike Metal Products for 36 years, retiring in 1995. he was a member of the Oak Grove Restoration Branch Church where he served as deacon and priest.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Robert.
survivors include: his wife of 44 years, Myrna Tucker, of the home; two sons, Mike Tucker and his wife, Karri, of Raytown, Scott Tucker and his wife, Dana, of Blue Springs; one daughter, Karen Atkins and her husband, Bill, of Greenwood; one brother, Joe Tucker, of Springfield; two sisters, Erma Williamson, of California, Gladys Woolverton, of Kimberling City; and 11 grandchildren.
