Margaurita A. Carey, 82, of Exeter, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2006, in Red Rose Inn, Cassville.
She was born on May 31, 1923, in Louisiana, Mo., the daughter of Daniel Edison and Edith Berdelia Walker. She was united in marriage to Earl Chadwick, who preceded her in death. On Aug. 5, 1972, in Cassville, she married Kenneth Carey, who preceded her in death Aug. 4, 2001. She was also preceded by her parents and one son.
Survivors include: one daughter, Earlene Chadwick, of Cassville; one brother, Perry Walker, of Eloy, Ariz.; two half sisters, Dannella Collins, of Quincy, Ill., and Edith, of San Antonio, Texas; three grand-children, Jamie Chadwick of Exeter, Shelly Andrews, of Cassville, and Christopher Chadwick, of Cassville.
She lived all her life in Missouri. She and her family moved from El Dorado Springs to Monett in 1963 to make their home. In 1999 she moved to Exeter. She attended Prairie Hill Baptist Church in Washburn.
Graveside services were held today (Wednesday) at IOOF Cemetery, Monett, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Rev. Doyle Russell conducted the services.
