Mark Owen Severson, 58, of Gordonsville, Tenn., died Sunday, april 30, 2006, at Smith County Memorial Hospital, Carthage, Tenn.
He was born Aug. 24, 1947, in Seattle, Wash., the son of Dorris Jeanne Phillips and the late Wendell Eric Severson. He grew up in the Denver area on the family ranch in Franktown, Colo. He graduated from the School of Forestry at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colo., lived in Salmon, Idaho, where he worked for Forestry Service from 1971-1997, he moved to Tennessee in 1997. He was in the National Guard. He was employed by Performance Food Groups in Lebanon in the accounting department. He attended First Baptist Church, Gordonsville, Tenn.
Survivors include: his wife, Wanda Preston Dennis Severson, of Gordonsville, Tenn.; two sons, Eric Severson, of Spokane, Wash., and Shaun Severson, of Boise, Idaho; his mother, Dorris Phillips Severson, of Cassville; two brothers; John Edwin Severson, of Castle Rock, Colo., and Paul Arnold (Margie) Severson, of Littleton, Colo., one sister, Jane Dorris Everson, of Cassville, one step-daughter, Amy (Robert) Waggoner, of Lebanon, Tenn.
He chose to be cremated and a Memorial Service will be held at the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes on Thursday, at 7 p.m. conducted by Bro. David Daugherty and Bro. Bobby Peoples.
