Jesse Robert Eastburn, 72, of Rocky Comfort, died Friday, April 21, 2006.
He was born Saturday, Nov. 25, 1933, in Bethlehem, the son of the late Charles Ray and Louella (Myers) Eastburn.
He was a retired special education teacher for the Kearsley, Mich., school district.
Survivors include: five sons, Robert Eastburn, Rodney Eastburn, and wife, Dena, of Pontiac, Mich., David Zemple and wife, Crystal, of Rocky Comfort, Tim Zemple and wife, Phyllis, of Rocky Comfort, and Jamie Zemple, of Neosho; three daughters, Terri Wawra, of Joplin, Sherri Eastburn, of Otisville, Mich., and Carrie Eastburn, of Flint, Mich.; one brother, Jiggs Eastburn, of Powell; and one sister, Rosella Stoutsenberger, of Pineville; 25 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He married Judith Lea Abbey in Flint, Mich., on Oct. 30, 1980, and she preceded him in death on March 8, 2000. He was additionally preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Leonard Eastburn, in childhood.
Services were held at Wheaton Funeral Home Tuesday. Rev. Gene Robinson and Richard Robinson officiated.
Interment was in the Union/Owlsly Cemetery, Stella.
