Marjorie Maxine Cox, 88, of Seneca, passed away Monday, April 24, 2006, at her home.
Margorie Maxine Beck was born July 8, 1917, in Cassville, the daughter of Harry Edward and Clerey Clarina Florence Ross Beck. She had moved to the Seneca area in 1954 from Cassville. She was a homemaker and a member of Bethany Baptist Church.
She married Alonzo Lee Flaherty, July 30, 1943, in Eureka Springs, Ark., and he preceded her in death in May 1957.
Survivors include: five daughters, Shelby Jean Shipley, of Springfield, Peggy Joyce Hoggard, Buxton, N.D., Ruby Fern Wallace, of Wyandotte, Okla., Karen Lee Huckeby, of Walnut Grove, and Mary Williams, of Seneca; 21 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son Marvin Eugene Flaherty, Dec. 24, 2004; two sisters and 10 brothers.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday with Rev. Jack Daniels officiating. Burial will be in the New Salem Cemetery east of Seneca on Norway Road. Pallbearers will be grandsons.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
