Larry J. Baggett, 69, of Seligman, passed away Sunday, April 16, 2006, in St. John's Hospital-Cassville.
He was born Nov. 5, 1936, in San Antonio, Texas, the son of Jess and Minn (Osborne) Baggett. On April 25, 1987, in Exeter, he was united in marriage to Phyllis Arnold, who survives.
Additional survivors include: three sons, Jerry D. Baggett and his wife, Dorothy, of Washburn, Roy C. Hayworth and his wife, Debbie, of Avoca, Ark. and Donald T. Hayworth, of Seligman; three daughters, Joyce A. Beck and her husband, Leonard, of Purdy; Connie J. Severs, of Purdy, and Lisa L. Fuller and her husband, Scott, of Avoca, Ark.; one brother, Bill Baggett and his wife, Judy, of Texas; 19 grandchildren; and 21 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Steven S. Baggett and Ronald Hayworth and a son-in-law, Ronnie Severs.
He graduated from high school in Texline, Texas. He served his country in the United States Army. He was a truck driver for Hudson Foods. He and his family moved to Seligman 16 years ago from Cave Springs, Arkansas. He was of the Baptist faith.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Rev. John Rose will conduct the services. Burial with military honors will be at Washburn Prairie Cemetery, Washburn.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today (Wednesday) in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville.
