Teenager rescued from Mineral Springs cave

Area emergency response workers rescued a 13-year-old boy from the Rock House Cave near the Mineral Springs community on April 18. Around seven teenagers, two teachers and a nurse from an alternative school in the Springfield School were inside the cave when the boy fell. The boy was pulled from the cave on a back board and air lifted to a hospital in Springfield around 5 p.m. Democrat Photo
