Donal Homer Creech, 60, of Purdy, passed away Friday, March 24, 2006, at Pierce City.
He was born June 24, 1945, in Rogers, Ark., the son of Lee and Ruth Edna (Davis) Creech, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Larry.
Survivors include: two sons, Jefferson Scott Creech and his wife, Jeanie, of Jane, and Daniel Lee Creech and his wife, Candaleah, of Nevada, Mo.; one daughter, Danita "DeDe" Brock and her husband, Roger, of Cassville; two brothers, Melvin Creech and his wife, Ava, of Purdy, and David Creech and his wife, Martha, of Pea Ridge, Ark.; seven sisters, Erma Nelson and her husband, Paul, of Lafayette, Colo., Edna McCall, of Dundee, Ill., Mary Hillard, of Elkins, Ark., Judy Jaques and her husband, Larry, of Lee's Summit, Linda Dingledine and her husband, Don, of Elkins, Ark., Sandra Boyd, of Rogers, Ark. and Catherine "Cathy" Mindoro, of Bella Vista, Ark.; and three grandchildren.
He received his education in Rogers, Ark., where he grew up. He then entered the United States Navy, where he was a helicopter and jet mechanic. In 1969 he moved to Barry County and had resided at Purdy for 22 years. He was currently employed as a bulk feed truck driver for Purdy Farm Center. He was a very good mechanic and at auto body repairs. He was a member of AA for 17 years, of which he was very proud.
Graveside services with military honors were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Oak Ridge Cemetery under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Rev. Joe Wogoman conducted the services.
