Jean Allred, 77, of Monett, passed away Friday, March 17, 2006, in Cox-Monett Hospital.

She was born Nov. 8, 1928, in Memphis, Tenn., to the late Charles and Nettie Bell Holland. She married Kenneth Allred in 1946, and he survives. She was a housewife.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters.

Survivors include: her husband; one daughter, Jacque Cheary, of Hollister; two sons, Gail Allred, of Monett, and Jerry Allred, of Fayetteville, Ark.; one sister, Lucretia Foster, of Cuba; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday at First Christian Church Disciples of Christ, in Monett, with Rev. Ron Allred officiating, followed by interment in IOOF Cemetery in Monett.

Memorial contributions may be made to Monett Senior Center or to First Christian Church.
