CHS sports teams earn recognition
Cassville High School Athletic Director Terry Jamieson has announced that five varsity sports and the cheerleading squad have achieved grade-point averages reflecting exemplary effort as recognized by the Missouri State High School Activities Association.
The following sports were recognized for academic achievement based on the team's overall grade point average: volleyball, 3.33; softball, 3.28; girls basketball, 3.27; soccer, 3.08; cross country, 3.05; and cheer-leading, 3.04.
Next week, Jamieson will announce the list of individual Wildcat and Ladycat athletes who were named to All-Big 8 Conference academic teams for their achievement in the classroom.
