Joe D. White, 76, of Eagle Rock, passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2006, at Barry County Care Center, Cassville.

He was born Sept. 26, 1929, in Fort Lupton, Colo., the son of Lea and Polly (Carr) White. On April 30, 1992, he was united in marriage to Bonnie (Meeks) White, who survives.

Additional survivors include: four daughters, Beverly Lawson and her husband, Roger, of Miami, Okla., Cheryl McGuiness and her husband, Don, of Springfield, Terri Dickens and her husband, Mark, of Collierville, Tenn., Melissa Bertalotto and her husband, Keith, of Powell; one son, Ed White and his wife, Ellen, of Eagle Rock; 10 grandchildren, s16 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Robert White and his wife, Linda, of Rogers, Ark., Donald White and his wife, Lula, and Jimmy White of Oak Grove, Ark.; one sister, Trevalea Landsdown and her husband, Bill, of Denver, Colo.; and sister-in-law, Carmie Humbard and her husband, Leon, of Green Forest, Ark.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one grandson.

He graduated from Blue Eye High School. He lived in Springfield for several years, then Pineville and Eagle Rock. He retired in 1985 from Missouri Department of Transportation. Following his retirement from MoDot, he enjoyed working in his wood working shop, fishing and camping. He was active in his Side Band C.B. Clubs, "Ole Codgers" and "Old Timers." He attended the Lighthouse Pentecostal Church, Eagle Rock.

Funeral Services were held Monday in the Lighthouse Pentecostal Church, Eagle Rock, under the direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Rev. Jim Clay and Rev. Jody Ray conducted the services. Burial was at Blue Eye Cemetery, Blue Eye.
