Bobby J. Rogers, age 74, of Exeter, Missouri, passed away Friday, February 10, 2006, in his home.
He was born June 16, 1931, in Purdy, Missouri, the son of Clarence and Leatha (Owens) Rogers. On December 4, 1993, he was united in marriage to Joan Henderson, who survives. He is also survived by two sons, Robert Warner and his wife, Pauline of Pensacola, Florida and Steve Henderson and his wife, Cristine of Rogers, Arkansas; a daughter, Brenda Beattie and her husband, Jeff of Cassville, Missouri; three sisters, Ina Mae Davis of Aurora, Missouri, Ava Lee Terry, of Monett, Missouri, and Betty Harp of Purdy, Missouri; nine grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and a dear friend, Irene Hixson, of Wheaton, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Forrest and Harlin Rogers.
Bobby grew up and received his education in Purdy. He spent much of his life in Barry County. During World II he served in the United States Army. For 10 years he was employed as a cook for Allen Canning Company in Springdale, Arkansas, retiring in 1988.
