Ira Senter Vader, 88, of Eagle Rock, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2006, in St. John's Hospital, Berryville, Ark.
He was born in Kearney, Neb. Nov. 5, 1917, the son of Elmer and Georgianna (Studebaker) Vader. On July 23, 1939, in Kansas City, he was united in marriage to Betty May Cook, who survives.
Additional survivors include: two sons, Ronald Vader and his wife, Frances, of Kansas City, and Raymond Vader and his wife, Suzanne Miner, of Eagle Rock; two grand-daughters, Barbara Higton, of Cloquet, Minn., and Pamela Paluka, of Lenexa, Kan.; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Venus, Delbert and Herbert Vader; two sisters, Ellen Benson and Myrtle Beals; and a grandson.
Ira received his education in Independence. He worked for the Union Wire Rope in Kansas City for 35 years. In 1974 he moved from Independence to Eagle Rock to make his home. Ira was a member of the All Faith United Methodist Church.
Funeral services were held Saturday in the All Faith United Methodist Church, Eagle Rock, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Rev. Nancy Wilson conducted the services. Burial was at Roach Cemetery, Eagle Rock.
