Sidney Craft Reber, Jr., 87, of Dallas, Texas, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2006, in Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center, Waco, Texas.

He was born June 12, 1918, in Jackson, Miss., the son of Sidney Craft, Sr. and Robert (Merrill) Reber. On Dec. 4, 1943, in Galesburg, Ill., he was united in marriage to Alwilda Montgomery, who preceded him in death on Feb. 24, 1993. He was also preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Rebecca Washington and his sister Martha Reber Pfeiffer.

Survivors include: his son-in-law, Randall Washington, of Plano, Texas; and two granddaughters.

He spent his entire life, serving the Lord. In 1963 he moved from his home in Dallas to become a missionary in Singapore. From 1969 until 1983 he served as vice president of the office of management, Foreign Mission Board in Richmond, Va. He was a volunteer missionary with American Church of London, England from 1987 until 1990. In 2000 he moved from Richmond back to his home in Dallas to be closer to his daughter and family.

Graveside services were Saturday at Maplewood Cemetery, Exeter, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville.
