Claude "Jack" Jordan, 73, of Kansas City, passed away at his home Jan. 2, 2006.
He was a former resident of Seligman and a 1950 graduate of Seligman High School.
He served in the Korean War as a First Lieutenant in the 187 Airborne Regiment. He owned and operated Land Speed Insurance and recieved the Don Martin Award in 1995 for outstanding service. He also recieved Promotors Workshop Award for service and dedication to the Auto Racing World. He later moved to Fayetteville, Ark., where he owned the golf manufacturing company Aristocrat. He later moved back to Kansas City and retired in 1991.
Survivors include: two daughters, Teri Jordan-Cason and Kelly A. Jordan, both of Kansas City; and a sister, Edith Opal Garrett, of Roswell, N.M.
Memorial services were Jan. 6 at Mt. Moriah and Freeman Funeral Home.
