Margie Shockley, 84, Neosho, died Thursday, Dec. 8, 2005, at a Joplin Nursing Home, following a long illness. She was born Dec. 14, 1920, in Decatur, Ark., to Floyd and Alice (Patterson) Combs.

She moved to the Neosho area in the early 1940s from Arkansas. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Neosho. She married Everett Shockley Sept. 29, 1938. He preceded her in death March 11, 1999. She was also preceded in death by four brothers.

Survivors include: one son, Mike Shockley and wife, Anne, Ozark; three daughters, Sandra McKinley and husband, Melvin, Joplin; Anita Purvis and husband, Jim, Neosho; and Sharon Berryhill and husband, Leonard, Webb City; two sisters, Pat Wertz, Kansas City, and Marie Long, Arkansas; 11 grandchildren,, 23 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Graveside services were held at Dec. 10, 2005, at IOOF Cemetery, Neosho, with Dr. Jerry Seigel officiating. Grandsons served as honorary pallbearers.

Arrangements were under direction of Clark Funeral Home, Neosho.
