Ruth C. (Boucher) Pogue, 84, of Monett, passed away Saturday, Jan. 7, 2006, at Monett Health Care.
She was born on March 10, 1921, in Exeter, the daughter of the late William F. Boucher, Sr., and Elsie Bliss Gary Boucher. She married Ralph Pogue in Miami, Okla., on Oct. 1, 1991, and he preceded her in death on May 8, 2003.
She was a retired customer service agent for Farmer's Insurance Group, and a homemaker. She was a member of Disciples of Christ Christian Church in Monett and of Christian Women Fellowship. She was also a member of the Monett Garden Club, and of the Pineville Meet and Eat Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one sister, Hazeldel McDaniel; and one brother, J.C. Boucher.
Survivors include: two daughters, Bonnie Haubrich and her husband, Ronnie, of Quincy, Ill., and Mary Bliss Stubblefield and her husband, Jim, of Monett; one step-daughter, Martha Gregory, of Tulsa, Okla.; two stepsons, George Pogue and his wife Joyce Haynes, of Pineville, and Dwight Pogue and his wife Connie, of the state of Massachusetts; one brother, William F. Boucher, and his wife Nancy, of Bella Vista, Ark.; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 13, at Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home, Monett, with Charles W. Shannon officiating, followed immediately by visitation. Interment will be at a later date in Bethel Cemetery, near Monett.
