Earl Turner, 83, of Cassville, Missouri, passed away Saturday, Dec. 24, 2005, in St. John's Hospital -- Cassville.
He was born Feb. 28, 1922, in Granby, the son of Elmon and Florence (Davis) Turner. On Nov. 29, 1941, in Butterfield, he was united in marriage to Mary Spain, who preceded him in death on Aug. 22, 2005. He was also preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Merele Reynolds and Evalee Korby and one brother, Wilbur Turner.
Survivors include: his children, Irene and Ralph Hendrix, of Washburn, and Betty and Billy Ike Henry, of Washburn; two brothers, Bobby Turner, of Decatur, Ark., and Donald Turner, of Stark City; three sisters, Vera Mayes, of Holiday Island, Ark., Imogene Haines, of Leoti, Kan., and Margaret Shaw, of Perryton, Texas; four grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
He spent his entire life in this area, where he carpentered and farmed. He was baptized Aug. 21, 1962, in Flat Creek by Raymond Chappell and a member of Cassville First Assembly of God Church, where funeral services were held Monday, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Burial was in Antioch Cemetery, Cassville.
