Birdie Odell Conner, 81, of Cassville, passed away Friday, Dec. 23, 2005, in Amarillo, Texas.

She was born Aug. 5, 1924, in Lewis County, Tenn., the daughter of Bob and Willie (Stinnett) Kilpatrick. On Sept. 23, 1941, she was united in marriage to Austin C. Conner, who preceded her in death on Sept. 4, 1997. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Glen David Conner; a sister, Jewell Conner and one brother, Clyde Kilpatrick.

Shurvivors include: three sons, Carless Conner and his wife, Diana, of Golden, Carl Conner, of Exeter, and Danny Conner and his wife, Betty, of Cassville; two daughters, Cathlean Sloan of Paradise, Calif., and Elaine Tripp and her husband, Lee, of Cassville; two brothers, Roy and Bill Kilpatrick, both of Hohenwald, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

She received her education in Tennessee where she resided until 1951 when she moved to California. In 1980, she moved to Barry County to make her home. She was a member of the Ridgley Assembly of God Church.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery, Exeter.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today (Wednesday) in Fohn Funeral Home.
