LeRoy Walter Dageforde, 74, of Exeter passed away Monday, Dec. 19, 2005, in his home.

He was born April 24, 1931, in Linn, Kan., the son of Walter and Emma (Dierking) Dageforde. On Jan. 4, 1952, he was united in marriage to Gloria Vignery, who survives.

Additional survivors include: two daughters, Nancy Larsen and her husband, Dane, of Eagle River, Alaska, and Janet Stephens and her husband, Jerry, of Garfield, Ark.; one brother, Neil Dageforde, of Lewisville, Texas: and one grandson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Ralph Dageforde.

He received his education in Kansas, where he graduated from high school. He served his country in the United States Air Force and then became an electrician for the Federal Civil Service, from which he retired in 1987. In 1990 he moved to Exeter to make his home and where he and Gloria celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary three years ago. He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church and the American Legion Post #118.

Cremation arrangements were under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
