Edith Ava Bodner, 98, of Cassville, passed away Friday, Dec. 16, 2005, at Barry County Care Center in Cassville.

She was born on Aug. 10, 1907, in Asher, Okla., to the late John William and Nellie Edith Hart Ward.

She was a retired bookkeeper for a Ford auto dealership. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Cassville. She was also a member of Eastern Star, Seven Valleys Extension Club, and Golden Harvest Club, all of Cassville.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Charles and Clyde Ward.

Survivors include: two daughters, Juanita Waxelman, of Cassville, and Wanda English, of Oklahoma City, Okla.; one brother, Bill Ward, of Quail Ridge, Calif.; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchildren.

No services are planned. Burial was today (Wednesday) in Tecumseh Mission Cemetery, Tecumseh, Okla., under the direction of Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home, Monett.
