Julie Cupps, a junior, led the team in scoring as she had 16 points. She was followed by sophomore Brittany Vollenweider with 12 points, sophomore Jessica Mitchell with 11 points and junior Jessie Gripka with 2 points. Abby Munoz, Gabby LeCompte and Brittany Wilbanks contributed on the defensive end.
"We have a tough stretch of games before Christmas, and we will see just where we are as a team and what we need to work on to compete with the best," said Coach Chris Shore.
Before Christmas break, the Ladycats will play Aurora there on the Dec. 16 and Reeds Spring at home on Dec. 20. On that night, the varsity squad will play at 6 p.m. in the high school gym and the junior varsity squad will play in the middle school gym after the boys junior varsity game at 6 p.m. A freshmen girls game will be played at 5 p.m. in the CHS gym.
On Dec. 26, the Ladycats begin play in the Walnut Grove Tournament, which will be played through Dec. 30.
