Elsie E. "Peggy" Kirby, 98, of Shell Knob, passed away Sunday, Dec. 11, 2005, in Red Rose Inn, Cassville.
She was born Oct. 17, 1907, in Leeds, the daughter of Hugh and Alice (Hutchison) Sharon. In 1952, at Eureka Springs, Ark., she was united in marriage to Cecil Kirby, who preceded her in death Feb. 24, 1983. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Dorothy Metz; one sister, Mary Dawson and one brother, Robert Sharon
survivors include: three grandchildren; five great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; and seven great-great-great grandchildren..
She received her education in Leeds. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Daughters of the Nile Paran Temple #96 and Golden Gate Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 58.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Fohn Funeral Home, Shell Knob. Rev. Bob Gaddis will conduct the services. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Mt. Moriah Cemetery, Kansas City.
The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Fohn Funeral Home, Shell Knob.
