Ralph Orville Shaw, Sr., 95, of Eagle Rock, passed at his home on Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2005. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, in Roaring River Baptist Church, Eagle Rock, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Girard Cemetery, Girard, Kan. Masonic Services will be at 7 p.m. Friday, at Fohn Funeral home, Cassville. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, P. O. Box 1653, Topeka, KS 66601-1653 or the Lives Under Construction Boys Ranch, 296 Boys Ranch Road, Lampe, MO 65681.

He was born May 5, 1910, in Girard, Kan., the son of John W. Shaw and Mona Morgan Shaw. He was married to Della Stephens on June 28, 1930. He moved his family to the Kansas City, Missouri area in 1935 where he was employed at Bill Allen Chevrolet and Greenlease Cadillac. In the early 1960s, Ralph and Della moved to Eagle Rock and built their lake home and Cedar Slope Resort. They retired to their present home in 1973.

He was a member and a Deacon at Roaring River Baptist Church. He was a 59 year member and Past Master of East Gate Masonic Lodge #630, Kansas City; a member of the Celestia Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star, Cassville and a 47 year member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 11 siblings: George Shaw, Anna Akins, Nona Donaldson, Nell Prine, Eva McAlister, Maggie Hanks, Ada Eskew, Leona Shaw, Clarence Shaw, Bernice McGaughey and Frank Shaw. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Della, daughter, Alice Dellinger, and son-in-law, Bud Carr.

Survivors include: two daughters, Marie Anthuis, Independence, and Kathryn Carr, Kearney, one son and his wife, Ralph and Kay Shaw, Climax Springs, and one son-in-law and his wife, Clarence and Bette Dellinger, Eagle Rock. 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grand-children; and 3 great-great grandsons.
