Wilmer D. Weston, 84, of Washburn, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2005, in Red Rose Inn, Cassville.

He was born Dec. 24, 1920, in Washburn, the son of Elmer and Ada (Antle) Weston. On Oct. 2, 1943, in Cassville he was united in marriage to Ethel H. White, who preceded him in death on April 13, 1994. He was also preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister in infancy.

Survivors include: one son, Gary Weston, of Washburn; three daughters, Glenda Moudy and her husband, Wayne, of Taylorsville, Ky., Nancy Lacey and her husband, Warren, of Anamosa, Iowa and Rebecca Petty and her husband, Martin, of Glenpool, Okla.; a sister, Vera June Osborn, of Holiday Island, Ark.; 10 grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

He graduated from Washburn High School in 1939. He was a dairy farmer and a lifelong resident of Washburn. Wilmer and Ethel milked and raised fruit on the same farm since 1943.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Washburn where he served many years as Sunday School Superintendent and Sunday School Teacher. He served on the Mid America Dairy Board in Springfield, the MFA Exchange Board in Exeter and the Exeter School Board.

Funeral services were held Saturday, at Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Burial was at Maplewood Cemetery, Exeter.
