Sue Elizabeth McCaskill, 68, of Golden, formerly of Pittsburg, Kan., died Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2005, at the St. John's Hospital at Berryville, Ark.

She was born Aug. 7, 1937, at Golden, the daughter of Charles and Helen Sackett Prutsman. On Feb. 8, 1958, she was united in marriage to Ronald J. McCaskill at Joplin. He survives.

Additional survivors in-clude: two sons, David McCaskill, of Washington, and Scott McCaskill, of Pittsburg, Kan.; one daughter, Shelley Russian, of Pittsburg, Kan.; one sister, Nancy Webb, of Prairie Village, Kan.; and nine grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a son, Michael McCaskill on Sept. 19, 1961.

She attended Joplin elementary schools, and graduated from Orange, Texas High School. She later attended North Texas State College for Women in Denton, Texas. She taught tap and ballet while in high school and college. She worked at Mt. Carmel Physical Therapy for many years. She and her husband retired on Table Rock Lake in 1997. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and the Faculty Wives at Pittsburg State University.

Mass of Christian burial was held today (Wednesday) at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, with Fr. Thomas Stroot as celebrant. Burial followed at the Highland Park Cemetery.

Arrangements were under the direction of the Brenner Mortuary, Pittsburg, Kan.
