Mrs. Elvera Lucille Blake, 80, of Anderson, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2005, at St. John's Regional Medical Center in Joplin.
She was born in Slater, Iowa, on Jan. 20, 1925, one of four children born to the late George and Edna (Simons) Laycock. She was united in marriage to John Henry Blake on July 12, 1942, in South Lineville and to this union one son was born. She moved to McDonald County a year ago to be closer to her family coming from Golden.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Roger Laycock.
Survivors include: her husband of 63 years, John Henry Blake; one son, Jerry Lee Blake and wife, Chris, of Anderson; a brother, Ronald Laycock and wife, Ione, of Benson, Minn.; her sister, Donna Ostburg and husband, Bill, of Madrid, Iowa.
Funeral services were Sunday at the Walker-Dowd Funeral Home Chapel in Anderson. Graveside services were Monday at 11 a.m. at the Viney Creek Cemetery in Golden.
