Arthur Lloyd Reed, 69, of Cassville, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2005, in Exeter.
He was born Jan. 31, 1936, in Cassville, the son of Earl and Ruby (Starnes) Reed. On May 14, 1954, he was united in marriage to Joe Ailene Davis, who survives.
Additional survivors include: by five children, Dean Reed and his wife, Anita, of Cassville, Mickle Reed and his wife, Kelly, of Cassville, Fern Perkins and her husband, Dennis, of Exeter, Teresia Mattingly and her husband, Ronnie, of Exeter, and Elaine Heston and her husband, Lanny, of Boynton, Okla.; one brother, Jesse Reed, of Athens, Ga.; two sisters, Earlene Cragg, of Stillwell, Okla., and Rose Ingle, of Monett; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Johnny and Gene Reed and two sisters, Helen Vanderpool and Margaret Pryor.
He received his education in Barry County. He was a life-long resident of this area and was a self-employed truck driver. On Jan. 7, 1990, he was baptized in Merl's Chapel Freewill Baptist Church.
He was in the United States Army from July 9, 1954, until May 28, 1956, and served in France.
Graveside services with Military Honors were held at Saturday at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Cassville, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Leroy Pugh conducted the services.
