Eugene "Gene" Louchery, 76, of Aurora, passed away Monday, Nov. 21, 2005, in Barry County Care Center, Cassville.

He was born July 3, 1929, in Clarksburg, W. Va., the son of Lillian Louchery Edwards. On Dec. 21, 1993, in Bullhead City, Ariz., he was united in marriage to Constance "Connie" Davis, who survives.

Additional survivors include: one son, Michael Louchery, of Phoenix, Ariz.; two daughters, Machelle Maxwell, of Lakeland, Fla., and Jeannie Thompson, of Iron Station, N.C.; three stepsons, Richard Davis, of Phoenix, Ariz., Ted Davis, of Aurora, and Larry Davis, of Aurora; one stepdaughter, Vicki Heppler, of Phoenix, Ariz.; 20 grandchildren; and seven great- grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He received his education in West Virginia. He started painting at an early age as an apprentice in West Virginia and then became self-employed. In 1957 he moved to Arizona, where he continued his painting career, retiring in 1993. He moved to Missouri in 1995 to make his home.

He was a member of the Painters Pension Union. Before his health began failing he attended the Wheelerville Church.

Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville.
