Edward "Eddie" H. Lang, 83, of Shell Knob, passed away Monday, Nov. 14, 2005, in the Barry County Care Center, Cassville.

He was born July 12, 1922, in Milwaukee, Wis., the son of Lawrence and Emily (Krueger) Lang. On May 31, 1947, in Waukesha, Wis., he was united in marriage to Norma Fordham, who survives.

Additional survivors include: three sons, James M. Lang and his wife, Jackie, of Champaign, Ill., Jeffrey E. Lang and his wife, Carol, of Gig Harbor, Wash., and Jerald W. Lang and his wife, Nancy, of Jordan, Minn.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

He served his country during World War II with the 472D Antiaircraft Artillery Battalion in the Philippines. He was an auto mechanic and worked several years for Wendt-Sonis. Four years ago he moved to Shell Knob from Jane, where he had lived for 30 years and served as Deputy Sheriff over 10 years.

Funeral services were held Saturday, at Fohn Funeral Home, Shell Knob. Burial with military honors were at Lake Park Memorial Gardens, Shell Knob.
