Richard Gordon Robinson, 79, of Shell Knob, passed away Saturday, Oct. 29, 2005, in his home.

He was born Nov. 30, 1925, in Rochester, Minn., the son of Robert William and Vearlee (Epperson) Robinson. On June 26, 1948 in Osseo, Minn., he was united in marriage to Patricia Ann Lennartson, who survives. Additional survivors in-clude: three daughters, Mary Elizabeth Adams and her husband, Douglas, of Cheyenne, Wyo., Barbara Vearlee Bateman and her husband, Michael, of Bailey, Colo., and Rebecca Ann Trendley and her husband, Terry, of Shell Knob; 10 grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He received his education in Minnesota. During World War II he served his country as an Army paratrooper. He worked as a cable acceptance technician for Quest Communications until his retirement. In 1984 he and Patricia moved from Denver, Colo., to Shell Knob to make their home.

Graveside services with military honors will be held at 1: p.m. Thursday, at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Shell Knob.
