He was born Dec. 31, 1924, in Neosho to Wilson and Olive (Renner) Keys. He was a machinist for Vickers in Joplin for about 27 years and also a cattle/poultry farmer on his own farm. He married Eunice N. Woods in Bentonville, Ark., on May 14, 1949. He was a lifelong resident in the area of Rocky Comfort and a member of the Rocky Comfort Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one son, Rickey Lee Keys.
Survivors include: his wife, Eunice; and three daughters, Connie Jean Farren and her husband, Steve, of Joplin, Brenda Brattin and her husband, Rex, of Wheaton, and Judy Porche and her husband, Louis, of Houma, La.; one brother, Jim Keys, of Raytown; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services were held Tuesday at the Wheaton Funeral Home in Wheaton. burial was at Macedonia Cemetery at Stella with Kenneth Hill officiating.
