ARCHIE IRVIN MCNELLY

Archie Irvin McNelly, 83, of Washburn, died Oct. 21, 2005, at the Veterans Hospital in Fayetteville, Ark.

He was born Dec. 29, 1921, in Bentonville, Ark., the son of Frank and Ruth (Ratcliff) McNelly. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a farmer.

He was preceded in death by his wife, four brothers, one sister and two stepsons.

Survivors include: one son, Johnny McNelly, of Stella; two daughters, Sherry Woodard, of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Ermalee Mulford, of Aurora; one stepson, Lonnie Westen, of Kent; stepdaughter, Linda Kitterman, of Pea Ridge, Ark.; brother, William McNelly; nine grandchildren; and seven step-great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be Thursday, at noon at Oakes Cemetery in Bentonville, Ark., with Bill Robinson officiating. Military honors by the Bella Vista V.F.W. Post 9063.
