Michael V. McCloud, 56, of Rocky Comfort, passed away Thursday, Oct. 20, 2005, at St. John's Regional Medical Center in Joplin.
He was born Jan. 1, 1949, in Kansas City to Charles and Ann (Vaughan) McCloud. He came to this area from the Kansas City area four years ago after traveling for 20 years. He married Laveta Arenart in Huntsville, on June 29, 1979. He was employed in environmental management for 26 years. He was a member of the Bethlehem Free-Will Baptist Church in Rocky Comfort and the Comfort Lodge #533 AF&AM in Wheaton.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include: his wife, Laveta; four daughters, Paula McCullagh, of Wheaton, Sharon Evans and her husband, Randy, of Monett, Michelle Honeywill and husband, Peter, of Sapulpa, Okla., and Jennifer Aston of Oolagah, Okla.; one brother, Joseph McCloud of Prairie Village, Kans.; one sister, Catharine Bilyea, of Leavenworth, Kan.; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services were held Monday, at the Bethlehem Free-Will Baptist Church with Rev. Hap Anders officiating. Burial was at New Hope Cemetery in Joplin. Arrangements were under direction of Wheaton Funeral Home, Wheaton.
