Rex Wayne Horner, 49, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Sunday, Oct. 23, 2005, at Northwest Medical Center of Benton County, in Bentonville, Ark. He was born Oct. 27, 1995, in Cassville, the son of Fredalene Cooper Horner and Wayne R. Horner.
He was a graduate of Cassville High School. He also was a graduate of Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, obtaining a bachelor's degree in fine arts.
He was employed by Wal-Mark Stores Inc. for over 24 years. He was an art director at the home office in Bentonville. He was also the director of the Wal-Mart Visitors Center, located in downtown Bentonville, Ark.
He was united in marriage to Joni Young on Dec. 31, 1993, in Eureka Springs, Ark.
Survivors include: his wife; two daughters, Shelby and Hannah, both of the home, his mother and father, Wayne and Fredalene Horner, of Cassville, three sisters, Teresa Telehany and her husband, John, of Painted Post, N.Y., Sheree Brock and her husband, Russell, of Independence, and Kelly Barnes and her husband, Kent, of Cassville.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Funeral services were held today (Wednesday) at Stockdale Funeral Services in Rogers, Ark., with Dr. John Duncan officiating. Burial was at the Horner Cemetery, Cassville.
