DONALD WAYNE WILLIS

Donald Wayne Willis, 82, of Purdy, passed away at 1:15 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 22, 2005, at Monett Health Care following a lingering illness. He was born in Woodson, Ill. on March 18, 1923, the son of the late Ben T. and Anna O'Brien Willis. He married Dolly Thompson on Dec. 7, 1949.

He was a shop foreman and mechanic for John Deere.

Survivors include: his wife, Dolly; one son, Kenneth Willis, of Murrayville, Ill.; and one daughter, Sandy San Paolo, of Lomita, Calif.

Memorial services will be held in Murrayville, Ill., at a later date. Local arrangements are under the direction of Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home, Monett.
