C.C. (Tim) Rath, 89, of the Iowa Veterans Home, passesd away Monday, Sept. 12, 2005.
He was born June 17,1916, in Alvin (Wray), Colo. He was the third child of nine children born to Alice May (Bachman) and Charles Lee Rath. He attended the Montezuma schools and graduated out of the new High School with the class of 1935. He joined the CMT Service Conservation Commission and worked on parks and roads in Iowa. He served the military in World War II with the Army training at Camp Hood, Texas. He served as Master Sergeant in Tanks division and trucks motor pool Technician in Alabama. Upon honorable discharge, he returned to Iowa and worked at Mahaska Sign Service in Oskaloosa. He earned the Neon Tube certificate at Stubenville, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; two sisters, Mabel and Hazel; three brothers, Robert, William (Bill) and Harry.
Survivors include: three sisters, Edith Butrick, of Fort Dodge, Iowa, Ada Catherman, of Oskaloosa, Iowa, and Alice (Robert) Daub, of Marshalltown.
Funeral Services were held Friday, Sept. 16, at Pursel-Davis Funeral Home & Crematory.
