Avis Donna Barbre, 84, of Shell Knob, passed away Monday, Sept. 5, 2005, in Red Rose Inn, Cassville.

She was born Dec. 6, 1920, in Clark County, Kan., the daughter of Edgar and Nina (Heyes) Cavner. On Nov. 2, 1946, in Tucson, Ariz., she was united in marriage to Harold Monroe "Doc" Barbre, who preceded her in death on Oct. 22, 2000.

There were no immediate survivors.

She and her husband established a concession business and traveled with rodeos, circuses and other shows. They were con-cessionaires for the Gene Autry Show for 11 years. In 1975 they moved their business and their home from Dodge City, Kan., to Shell Knob.

She was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church, Shell Knob.

Her body has been cremated and her ashes will be buried in Maple Grove Cemetery, Dodge City, Kan.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
