Cassville community leader and long-time banker Truman Baker died on July 31. Baker was a member of the local banking industry for over 25 years and served as Freedom Bank Board chairman after his retirement. Two children who were allegedly kidnapped by their father, Matthew Chapman, of Exeter, will soon be returning to Barry County. Meth lab busted in Eagle Rock, two arrested (08/03/11)
The Barry County Sheriff's Department and the Southwest Missouri Drug Task Force seized several meth lab components and arrested two Berryville, Ark., men at an Eagle Rock residence on July 25.
