Full time position available Monday, August 21, 2017 at the Regional Office in Monett. Duties include, but arenít limited to, unpacking incoming library materials (books, dvdís, etc.), matching titles with purchase orders and invoices, recording price, date, branch designation, and assigning barcode numbers. Processes all library materials by typing pockets, pasting pockets, attaching appropriate spine labels, and applying plastic jacket covers. Mends books and materials as required. Assists with weeding of materials and answering the telephone.
Graduation from high school or equivalency is required. Experience with library skills sufficient to accomplish the duties listed above or the ability to learn those skills is desirable. Excellent computer, organizational, and customers service skills required. Good clerical skills are required. Must be able to type 40 wpm. Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with other employees and library customers.
Work is performed while sitting at a desk or computer terminal or while standing for extended periods of time. Must have the ability to operate computer equipment and all basic office equipment. Position requires stooping, bending, stretching, pushing, and lifting up to 50 lb. Must be able to push and pull full library carts up to 150 lbs.
Starting pay is $8.00 per hour, benefits are included.This is a 40 hour per week position. May be asked to work a flexible schedule that may include Saturdays.
