JUVENILE OFFICER I , 39th Judicial Circuit. Respond to daily referrals made by law enforcement agencies, schools or the Missouri Children's Division. Detain juveniles who may be charged with criminal offenses and explain legal rights to the alleged offender. Prepare petitions, motions, social and court summaries and other reports for all juveniles on assigned caseload. Assist law enforcement agencies in the investigation of juvenile cases with questioning of an alleged juvenile offender; present cases, as required, to the juvenile court and make recommendations to the juvenile court based on evidence, client history and statutory requirements. Graduation from a four year college or university with a degree in criminal justice administration or related field is preferred but work experience may be considered. This position is a full time position offered by the state of Missouri with full state benefits. Minimum salary is $33,276.00 annually.
