Meeting: The Barry County Retired School Personnel will hold its monthly meeting at the St. John's Lutheran Church in Monett. Social and snacks will be at 10 a.m., with the business meeting following at 10:30 a.m. Robert and Vicky McGuire, retired Monett Elementary teachers, will be the guest speakers this month. All retired Barry County teachers and school personnel are welcome to attend.

Saturday, March 28

Fundraiser: Chili, soup, hot dog, dessert and drink are being served at the Jenkins Fire Department from 5-7 p.m. Station No. 1 is located on Highway 248, just west of Highway 39. Donations of bottled water, canned soda pop, and desserts are needed. Blood Drive: The Southwest Student Council will sponsor a blood drive from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the high school gym in Washburn.
