Trout Fishing At Roaring River State Park

Posted Wednesday, December 30, 2009, at 2:48 PM

Fishing is excellent during Roaring River's Catch and Release Season. There are lots of fish in the river and some larger fish throughout the park. Tim Homesley recently posted this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jac1X0W7r... from a fishing trip on December 29th. As you can see he is catching more than one fish per minute. Of course he is the master, but most anglers are having successful trips. If you do a search on youtube you will find that Tim has posted some excellent videos on how to rig a plastic egg or a trout worm (those will help you out during the regular season- flies only during the winter fishing). Winter fishing season ends Feb. 8, 2010. If you have questions call 417-847-2430.
