Come on down to Pioneer Days

Throw on your overalls or jeans and boots and visit the Crowder College Cassville Campus auditorium for some piping hot chili, fiddlin' music and an old-fashioned pie auction on Saturday. Barry County Pioneer Days will be held from 5 to 8 p.m.

Donations collected and funds raised at Pioneer Days will help a committee of local volunteers provide the Barry County community with a variety of musical performances and programs this summer. All of the activities will be centered around the Smithsonian Institute's New Harmonies exhibit coming to the Barry County Museum June 19 through July 31.

By just donating a few bucks or bidding on a silent auction item or two local residents can help make this summer's six-week event the best in can be. Although some expenses will be incurred this summer, the New Harmonies Committee is working now to collect funds to help pay for promotion of the event, supplies and other expenses.

Please remember that none of the funds raised by the New Harmonies Committee will pay for museum operations. All of the funds will be used to offer the local community six-weeks of musical fun!
